We asked Misaki, the expert in pearls, to give us an insight into how pearl jewellery can be a stunning accessory on your big day. There pearl pieces are worn by celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Nicole Richie and Nicole Scherzinger amongst others.
Pearls have long been a symbol of class, elegance and wealth ever since the day one of the most extravagant pearl necklaces was created for the Maharajah Khande Rao Gaekwad of Baroda in the 19th century. Other celebrated fans of these precious gems include Queen Mary and in later times, Princess Grace Kelly, who was an iconic symbol of sophistication and style on the French Riviera. Pearl jewelry is nowadays not only an accessory for the rich and famous, but an affordable contemporary alternative to classic jeweled pieces.
Pearls are a beautiful accessory and often look fabulous as bridal jewellery. A dazzling pair of long drop pearl earrings or a shimmering short string of pearls can look stunning with a strapless wedding dress.
A simple pair of white or silky pink pearl studs is also a great way to add a discreet touch of glamorous style on your big day
The famous Italian film director Federico Fellini was quoted as saying “All art is autobiographical; the pearl is the oyster's autobiography”. Make pearls a part of your big day and make your wedding the start of your own autobiography.
