Pretty Hairstyles for the Big Day

So you’ve already bought your wedding dress and found a makeup artist. Now, all you need is the hair do that will make your “I Do” the most memorable one. Hairstyles are just as important as your accessories, your gown, and your makeup. Here’s a couple of ideas for you.

The Chignon

The chignon is your alternative to the traditional bun. You can wear it messy or sleek. Either way, it still is a chic way to dress up your hair and keep it away from your neck and face. This hairstyle emphasizes your neck and face, so dramatic makeup and a strapless gown will work well with it.

Braids

Braids have been very popular in period movie weddings such as Robin Hood. It’s fairly easy to do once you get the hang of it. If you have highlights or lowlights in your hair, this is one way to show them off. You can make it in a bun, a half-up ponytail, fishtail, or a ponytail. It’s a very detailed hairstyle, so it would work its charm when paired with a simple dress with very minimal embellishments.

Waves

Long, wavy hair is a trend among celebrities. Avril Lavigne and Khloe Kardashian got hitched in it, and so did the ever elegant and sophisticated Ivanka Trump. Wavy hair is best when it’s shiny, polished, and long. Otherwise, it will just look downright messy. You wouldn’t want to look back 20 years from your wedding date and regret not having scolded your hairstylist for giving you a bedhead for your wedding day.

What kind of fancy hairstyle do you have planned for your wedding day? Is it one of these? Let us know in the comments below.
