First Aid, Anyone?

All brides have this ticking fear that something might go wrong during the wedding day. When it comes to the affair, even the most laid-back lady can be such a perfectionist. Who can blame her? It’s a once in a lifetime occasion that you will get to profess your love and celebrate it with the world watching.

So if you’re one of those brides whose weddings are just a few weeks ahead, it’s never too early to have a contingency plan just in case Murphy’s Law decides to be an uninvited guest. Challenge this law by being prepared with these essentials.

An actual first aid kit

Include the basics such as band aids, aspirins, painkillers, gauze, surgical tape, plastic tweezers, and extra medication for guests who suffer from allergies, high blood pressure, or fever.

Sewing kit

This should include safety pins and threads and needles. You’ll never know whose clothes will rip while dancing.

Wet wipes - These will come in handy when going to the washroom is such a hectic chore. It’s also useful in removing stains and absorbing liquid that accidentally spilled on clothes.

White chalk - Stains on your wedding dress are such a nightmare to look at when viewing pictures. You can minimize the stubborn marks by rubbing them with white chalk to hide them.

White duct tape and double-sided tape - Decorations might fall off the wall or the table. Make sure that you have double-sided tape or white duct tape for quick fixes that don’t need the presence of technicians.

Cute Flats - Standing all night in heels will give you feet that will kill you. Although your husband might enjoy the pleasure of giving you a quick foot rub, the reception is not the place to do so. Set aside a pair of flats at the reception. They ought to be fancy enough to blend with your wedding dress so you can go dancing all night long without worrying about blisters.

Did we miss something else in this wedding day first aid kit? What else would you suggest? Let us know in the comments below.
